Lost in Translation (2003)
dir: Sofia Coppola
Sofia Coppola's directorial debut features two travellers, one an American actor doing Japanese commercials and the other a newly wed, who bond over jetlag and isolation in an international hotel in Tokyo.
A friendship blossoms and ultimately the pair have to consider the lives they are trying to lead outside their suspended bubble of sleepless nights and culture shock.
