The Limits of Control (2009)

The Limits of Control is a 2009 American film directed by Jim Jarmusch. It stars Isaach De Bankolé as a lone wolf criminal undertaking a job in Spain. A man meets several people in different places in Spain. Each meeting has the same pattern: in a sidewalk cafe or a train he orders two espressos, the other arrives, asks whether the man speaks Spanish, the man answers he does not, they exchange matchboxes, the man finds in the matchbox a piece of paper with a code, and after reading he eats the paper.
