The Other Guys (2010) - Adam McKay

Data:

Pretty funny first half, gets bogged down in a case which was boring (though admittedly that was part of the point about it being an unglamorous accounting case, it just wasn't well done) and some moralising about bankers and capitalism in a plodding second half. Still some funny sections but they're few and far between at this point. Quite amusing to spot the various comedians from television show up in various cameos.

Farell is still a blind-spot for me but he's not annoying here and plays the straight man well enough, though Wahlberg steals the show with his typical fast-talking-foul-mouthed routine.

The first section with The Rock and Samuel Jackson was genuinely hilarious. A decent enough turn-your-brain off film.
