napisał o The Man Without a Past

It is a mere coincidence that I get to watch this shortly after watching "the bothersome man". The two movies are like the negative and positive counterparts of the same photograph. Here we get to see extreme poverty and social distress in which warmth, generosity, honesty, authenticity, empathy, chivalry, love, justice, humility and other noble feelings bloom and grow, against all odds. A man, a woman, some friends, some music, a little gardening, a dog that wasn't born ferocious, a little place to stay, and we've got a story of genuine happiness. Alas one should not deduce that poverty brings happiness: the people in this movie have a particular mindset. We should all fight poverty. But it is not unreasonable to think that people living in utter poverty can be more sincere and generous, relatively speaking, and somehow happier compared to people that are not excluded of society. Poverty prevents a fall into the many traps of mainstream society by focusing on real human values.
