To be honest, it's not even average. The editing, the pacing, the myriad of unnecessary scenes that lead to nowhere, it all reeks of a movie that could have been great, if it had been longer or better composed. Oh, and the story...I don't expect an action movie to have a great story, but this...I guess it fails because it tries to be, for nearly the entirety of the movie, a crime (cop?) drama. And as drama, it's atrocious. Score is high as is because of the enjoyable action scenes. Donnie Yen is a pleasure to watch, at least as far as martial arts go. Which is a bit of a shame, consdering he already exhibited decent acting talent in Ip Man.
