'Paris' (2009)

Data:

The Grand Masters of the Grand French 'New Wave' are
dead or wearing trusses... and who are the French newbies?
Dir. Cedric Klapisch is not one of 'em, you can be sure of that.
This croissant got comme ci, comme ca reviews and it's
really merde. I dont think there are any new French dirs to
concern us other than Francois Ozon, who strikes out half the
time. A music hall performer needs a new heart -- hell, mine
is artificial and it was on sale at Bon Marche. Works perfectly.
Tick-tock. Oui, it tells the time, too. He and his annoying sister
look out over the most beautiful city in the world while "stories"
intertwine for over two strangulating hours. I love Paris but not
'this' Paris. Juliette Binoche - who can be good, who can be bad -
is the sis. Her brud Romain Duris has The Look, but he
gets lost here amid sub-slosh bathos. What more can I say?
Just this: je voudrais reconfirmer mon vol. Get me out, vitement!
