Weekend (2011)

Subtle, moving and beautiful. Weekend works so well because it knows its limitations and boundries and works within them. The interplay between Russell and Glen is real and true and never condescends or sensationalises their situation.

Highly recommended.

He was good. The whole cast was good but they were just let down by the script and direction.

For such a talented writer/director/performer We Have a Pope is a real disappointment for Nanni Moretti. And this fact is highlighted even more by the success of the film on a scene by scene basis.

Cold, calculated and psychological, every description of Martha Marcy May Marlene could be addressing Elizabeth Olsen’s central character, the technicals or the film itself. And this continuity in all
