I'm Still Here

As a piece of performance art this is brilliant. The lengths that Phoenix and Affleck go to in order to fulfil their experiment are hard not to admire. However, it all seems rather redundant. The act of it was never really believed (and the admition of it being a hoax hardly surprised the industry or viewers) which begs the question why did they all bother? Yes they wanted to make a point of the relationship between the music and film industry and journalism/reporting but it's nothing we don't already know. In years to come, if Phoenix is a more respected actor it might be worth it, otherwise it's a bit of a waste of time.
